Proust Questionnaire: Dean Brendan Hill

Marcel Proust, a French novelist, decided to analyze his own psyche by answering 20 simple questions, intended to reveal a person’s innermost thoughts. As featured in every monthly issue of Vanity Fair Magazine, Hoya3ni will publish a member of the GU-Q community’s answers to a few of the questions from the infamous “Proust Questionnaire” on a bi-weekly basis!

A:Living free

2.What is your greatest fear?
A:Irrelevance

3. Which historical figure do you most identify with?
A: Cassandra, from Greek mythology. She’s a seer of the future that’s always right but she’s cursed; everything she says always comes true but no one ever believes her because of the curse.

4. Which living person do you most admire?
A: Jimmy Carter

5. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
A: Impatience

6. What is the trait you most deplore in others?
A: Indecision

7. What is your greatest extravagance?
A: Rugs! Rugs! Rugs!

8. On what occasion do you lie?
A: When telling the truth would offend somebody unnecessarily

9. What do you dislike most about your appearance?
A: My weight

10. When and where were you happiest?
A: Hawaii in the 80s

11. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
A: Nothing

12. If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?
A: We’d live closer together

13. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
A: Almost going the whole day without insulting Dr. Crist to his face

A: A zealously liberal movie star.

A: My mother because she raised 4 children by herself
